I served in the Executive Office of the President under Ike and John F. Kennedy in 1956.

In 1956 the President of the United States, Dwight Eisenhower appointed me as the 5 State Director of the Federal Civil Defence Administration. Then a couple of years later, there was a government re-organization and my agency was moved to the Executive Office of the President. There were 3 offices in the White House, there is the office of Economic Advisors. The Bureau of the Budget and the office of Civil and Defence Mobilization, I was in the latter section. I was the 5 State Director of the office of Civil and Defence Mobilization.  I was 30 years and was honored to have the Civil Service Rank equal to a 3 Star General.
